Hardware and Software

In chapter 2,we learned about computer system.In this chapter,we learn about logic gate and mostly about computer hardware and software.
Hardware consists of motherboard,processor,memory,input and output device,storage and adapter card.
The function of motherboard is hold many components of the system and provide connecters for other peripherals.The function of processer/CPU is interprets and carries out the basic instruction that operate the computer.Memory consists of electronic components that store instructions waiting to be executed by the processer.Memory has two types,RAM and ROM.Input device is any hardware components that allows user to enter data and instruction into a computer.Output device is any hardware components that conveys information to people.Storage holds data,instruction and information for future use.Storage has two types,primary storage and secondary storage.Adapter card is a circuit board that enhances function of the components of a system unit and provides connections to peripherals.
Software is a series of instructions that tells a computer what tasks to perform and how to perform them.It has 2 types,operating system and utility. 
In logic gate,there are seven logic gate,AND,OR,NOT,NAND,NOR,XNOR and XNAND.
